By road
The 193.5 mile M1 motorway runs through the heart of Bolsover District with four junctions (28, 29, 29A and 30) serving the area. And lying just 10-miles east of the District is the main A1 highway making it an easy place for people to visit. The National Express bus service also stops in nearby Alfreton, Chesterfield, Mansfield and Worksop. By rail
Access to the main rail network lies just a few miles outside the area with stations in Alfreton, Chesterfield and Worksop. The Robin Hood commuter Line from Worksop to Nottingham, serves the District well as both a commuter and leisure passenger line with four rail stations (Shirebrook, Creswell, Langwith/Whaley Thorns and Whitwell) situated in the District.
