Soldier Sculpture to mark Armistice Day

A Whitwell man has carved a soldier from a 7ft wooden log to mark Remembrance Day.

Using a chainsaw to transform the log, it took Ben Yeates seven weeks to create the sculpture, called a Soldier's Tear.

It is designed to depict a British soldier, known as a 'Tommy', and Bolsover TV (opens in a new window) spoke to Ben about his work.
