For this reason, placing them in your normal household bin is not safe. It is essential we don’t mix them with other combustible waste as batteries can generate a heat source and present a fire risk in the collection vehicle or sorting process. |

If cardboard is contaminated with food, grease or liquid, please tear this off and put this in your normal refuse bin and place the clean part in your recycling bin. Pizza boxes are a good example of this. |
