We operate a three bin system. Black Bins (domestic waste) Burgundy Bins (recyclable waste) and Green Bins (garden/food waste). 

Festive holiday bin collections

Our refuse teams will be working hard over the festive period to help clear the amount of waste that is created during this time. There are three important things to note:

1. We know households create more waste over the festive period, so we will once again be providing all households with an extra black bin collection.
2. Due to the bank holidays falling on a variety of days your bin collections (black and burgundy) will take place, but they may take place earlier or later than normal. Please refer to the relevant bin calendars below as your collection dates will vary depending upon where you live.
3. If you have transport and have excess waste you can recycle/dispose of this at the household waste recycling centres (opens in a new window).

The bins are collected on a fortnightly basis with the black bin one week and the green and burgundy bin the following week. Please note that the green bin collections are currently suspended for the winter period. You can find out when your bin is due to be collected by using the relevant calendar option below.

• Calendar A covers the following towns and villages - Palterton, Scarcliffe, Hillstown, Bolsover, Shuttlewood, Stanfree, Clowne, Barlborough, Whitwell, Hodthorpe, Creswell, Langwith, Whaley Thorns, Upper Langwith and all small holdings, etc, in and around these areas.
• Calendar B covers the following towns and villages - Doe Lea, Bramley Vale, Glapwell, Pleasley, New Houghton, Stoney Houghton, Shirebrook, Langwith Junction, Tibshelf, Newton, Blackwell, Hilcote,  Westhouses, South Normanton, Pinxton and all small holdings, etc, in and around these areas.
