After four months of operation, a Nuisance Vehicle PSPO is having the desired effect as over 70 fixed penalty notices have been issued.

We have issued 15 fixed penalty notices in October and on the first of December, we issued more than 60 for one car meet at Doe Lea.

And from all the fines issued, only three of them were people who actually live in Bolsover District.

The Public Spaces Protection Order has a number of stipulations prohibiting any person from participating in or being a spectator in things like a car cruising event, performing stunts or playing loud music causing a nuisance. Councillor Clive Moesby told Bolsover TV (opens in a new window) more.
