Before you are eligible to be offered a Council property you need to be on our Housing Register, you can apply for rehousing on our Choice Based Lettings system – Bolsover Homes.
Upon initial completion of your application and once an application reference number has been provided, your application will be suspended pending review and you will be asked to create a username and password for the Bolsover Homes website, here you will be prompted to upload proofs for identification and verification purposes in support of your application. Once the review has been completed by the Housing Allocations team, your application will be banded to reflect the priority of your need for rehousing and your application will be activated. Should any further information be required during the review process, you will be contacted directly on the contact details provided.
If you need further assistance in completing the form, or answering any of the questions, the Customer Advisers at our Contact Centres are able to help.
Bolsover Homes also allows anyone with an active application on the housing waiting list, to search, select and apply for a new home of their choice across Bolsover District.
Our Choice Based Lettings system advertises available Council and Housing Association properties. This gives you more choice about where you want to live, it also gives you a better idea of what properties are available in your area and allows you to place bids (maximum 3 per week) on properties that suits your housing need.
For further details please see our Housing Allocations Policy.
Available properties can be viewed on our Bolsover Homes website or alternatively weekly newsletters containing this information are readily available to view during office hours at our Contact Centres. Upon request a newsletter can be emailed to you (free) or posted out (a charge will be incurred for this service).
