Council registers as a 'Safe Place'

Our main headquarters and Go! Active leisure facility in Clowne are registered as Safe Places.

The Derbyshire Safe Place (opens in a new window) scheme aims to provide a temporary safe place where people can go if they feel scared, are lost or need help when they are out and about.

The scheme hopes to reduce bullying and abuse of people by providing a safe environment, easily identified by the Safe Place logo.

As a safe place, we will make a phone call, on behalf of the person, to either a parent, carer or the emergency services (if a crime has taken place).

Keep Safe Cards

These cards are available to all adults who live in Derbyshire aged 18 or over. They are also available to vulnerable young people aged 11 or above who live in Derbyshire and have received instruction from an
adult about how to find and use a Safe Place.

You can fill in a form to get a Keep Safe Card (opens in a new window).
