A very special occasion was marked in Pinxton this week as long-term resident Brenda Dent turned 100 (opens in a new window).

Brenda was born in Pinxton and returned to the village after travelling the length and breadth of the country, serving in the forces and getting married.

A party was thrown at Pinxton Miner’s Welfare, and we went to meet her to find out what her top tip for a long life is.
