Bolsover Rotary Club (opens in a new window) has been in action for more than 40-years but not everyone knows what they do.
Established in 1980, the club meets every Wednesday evening at Twin Oaks Hotel near Palterton and the group works to raise money for local groups and charities and have helped organisations such as Bolsover Gala, The Freedom Project and Bolsover Lantern Parade over the years. They also offer a Community Grant scheme where small local groups can bid for grants of up to £500 for key projects. This scheme alone has meant that the community has enjoyed the benefit of over £15,000 worth of investment in small but key projects over the last few years.
They spoke to Bolsover TV (opens in a new window) about their work and what anyone wanting to join the group can expect from becoming a member.
