The former Coalite site, which lies 1.5 miles north west of Bolsover town centre, has lain derelict since 2004. The site is split between Bolsover District and North East Derbyshire District Councils, and a comprehensive clean-up and redevelopment of the site has taken place.

Work has begun to build a new ultra-modern headquarters for Peak Pharmacy on the Horizon 29 development. The multi-million pound venture, which will process millions of prescriptions per year for their patients, is due to open in April next year and will house up to 100 staff, with the potential to grow into a 24-hour operation in future.
