Bolsover teenagers fundraising efforts top £10k

Over the past five-years, Hayden Hudson from Bolsover has raised £10,000 pounds for numerous charities in the area - and he wants to keep going.

When he was eight-year-old, Hayden asked his mum to see if he could raise some money for a local charity, his mum agreed, encouraged him and was rightly proud.

Fast forward five years and Hayden Hudson is a fundraising machine as he has helped charities such as the McMillan unit at Chesterfield, Nightingale children's ward, CLAPA, SANDS, Bluebell Wood, Diabetes UK and Bolsover food bank...and the list goes on!

He also recently went to Westminster after being honoured with a British citizen youth award, for all of the fundraising he has done.

Hayden is a keen swimmer and one day dreams of going to Olympics and he has helped raise the money through both swimming and riding his bike. Bolsover TV (opens in a new window) met up with Hayden and his mum to find out more about these extraordinary fundraising efforts.
