Ground has been broken on the £9.6million project that will see a main building, wake facilities and formal and informal gardens, constructed by the Council’s company, Dragonfly Development Limited.
Called Roseland Park and Crematorium, the site is named after a nearby farm and is a partnership between Bolsover District and Shirebrook Town Councils. Work is due to be completed in early 2025 and Bolsover TV (opens in new window) asked Council Leader, Steve Fritchley why Shirebrook was the best place for the new facility.
