Joint statement on the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II – Council Leader Councillor Steve Fritchley, Chairman of Bolsover District Council, Councillor Tom Munro and Directors Karen Hanson and Grant Galloway.
It is with great sadness that we hear of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Everyone at Bolsover District Council extends their sympathies to the Royal Family and the nation at this time of sorrow. Her majesty’s death is an enormous loss following a lifetime of dedicated service to the country and commonwealth.
We will be flying our flags at half-mast as a mark of respect during the period of mourning.
There will be books of condolence available for people to sign in our four contact centres in Bolsover, Clowne, Shirebrook and South Normanton. Flowers can be laid in remembrance outside our headquarters at The Arc in Clowne. An online book of condolence is available at www.royal.uk/
As Chair, Leader and Director of Bolsover District Council we will be leading tributes by laying flowers today (9 September) at The Arc at 2pm. You are invited to join us for this and lay your own flowers and tributes.
