Highways England will be carrying out essential vegetation management work on the A38 from the A50 interchange (Toyota junction) to the M1 junction 28 interchange.
Work is due to start on Monday 5 September 2022 and they anticipate it will be completed by the end of November 2022.
During this work, they will be cutting the grass as well as pruning branches, trees and shrubs on the slip roads, along the A38 corridor. By carrying out this work, it will restore the degraded grassland and remove any obstructions and encroachments on the A38.
The work will be mainly overnight between 8pm and 6am and measures will be taken to minimise noise. Please note that the planned work is subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
To maintain a safe environment for the workforce and motorists, they will need to carry out the work in slip road and lane closures. All carriageways will be open, as usual, outside of the working hours.
They will ensure that access to businesses and residences is maintained wherever possible and they apologise for any inconvenience caused and will do their very best to complete the work as quickly as possible, keeping disturbances and noise to a minimum.
