A cheque for £1,000 has been presented to Peter Bower, Divisional Secretary SSAFA Bolsover Division by Mrs Norah Sly on behalf of the family of the late Tony Parker.
Tony served in the armed forces and became, supported by his wife Halyna, a well respected and dedicated caseworker for the Bolsover Division, helping many people who were in dire straits.
Peter thanked Tony's family for their generous donation and informed them that the money would be placed in an emergency fund designed to give immediate, urgently needed support to people in Bolsover District.
