Hilcote Christmas Lights switch on

The community came out in force at Hilcote on Saturday 27 November as they turned on their Christmas lights.

Organised by H.E.L.P (Hilcote Environmental and Leisure Projects), members of the community where treated to Christmas songs, free mulled wine, mince pies and selection boxes for the children. It is usually a much bigger affair with a Christmas Party but unfortunately due to the current restrictions it was decided to scale down the event this year.

Local councillor for Blackwell Parish, Clive Moesby attended the switch on and said, "It was a bitterly cold night but once again the community of Hilcote came out in force and it was great to see so many people supporting the switch on. I have worked with the H.E.L.P. organisation for a number of years now and they do a huge amount of work in the village and I would like to thank all the members for their hard work."
