Council given health and safety award

Bolsover District Council is delighted to announce they have won their second consecutive RoSPA Gold Health and Safety Award. This award is given to organisations who work hard to ensure all staff, customers and contractors get home safely to their families at the end of the day.

By winning the award the Council is recognised as being a world-leader in Health and Safety practice. Nearly 2,000 entrants vie every year to achieve the highest possible accolade in the UK’s longest-running health and safety industry awards.

Cabinet Member responsible for Health and Safety, Councillor Duncan McGregor said: “We take our Health and Safety responsibilities very seriously and we’re delighted to have been awarded the RoSPA gold award for a second year.

“To win this award is testament to the hard work and dedication of our Health and Safety team and is testament to the hard work our staff do on a daily basis whilst carrying out their duties.”
