Cllr Tom Munro, Chair of Bolsover District Council said, “It is with great sadness that I learnt today of the death of Prince Philip.
Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, was an outstanding public servant who gave his life to the service of the Country and also the Commonwealth and communities across the district will be saddened by this news. Here in Bolsover District we are marking his death respectfully in a number of ways. The Union Flag at our council offices is now flying at half-mast and will continue to do so until 8am on the day after the funeral.
We are also looking at what other arrangements need to be put into place for those who wish to pay their respects. An e-book of condolence is available to sign on the Royal Family website.
May he rest in peace.”
